UCU Board of Directors

Mr. Oleksyshyn is semi-retired. He operates and acts as managing Director of MNO Procurement Solutions a contracted purchasing and consulting practice. Prior to this he held progressively responsible positions at Rogers Communications such as Category Manager for Network Core Strategic Procurement Services. Previously he was Senior Manager, Global OEM Hardware and Software Licensing at Nortel Networks. Through his time there he held various other roles within Supply Chain including Manager of Offshore Software Outsourcing. At the outset of his career he was Assistant Branch Manager at the Bank of Montreal.

Mr. Oleksyshyn joined UCU 30 years ago. During this time he has served on the board as a member of our Credit Committee as well as the Audit Committee. He chaired the Audit Committee for two years from 2008. After a short hiatus, Mr. Oleksyshyn returned to the board in 2019.

Myron has been active in the Windsor Ukrainian community, as member of the St. Vladimir and Olga’s church choirs, senior dancer for Echoes of Ukraine Ensemble of Windsor/Detroit and a member of the University of Windsor Trident Club. On relocation to Mississauga he joined St. Mary’s Dormition Catholic Church where he has been an active member for 30 years. He was a member of the Barvinok Dance troupe, Friends of St. Mary’s, and volunteered for numerous fund raising events including the annual Yarmorok and is currently a church usher. In addition Mr. Oleksyshyn volunteered for Big Brothers of Peel, a number of United Way Programs, and WWF (World Wildlife Foundation).

A University of Windsor Commerce graduate, he is also a certified APIC member (American Association of Production and Inventory Control). He has taken CUDA training for Directors and attended many credit union seminars.
