Ukrainian Credit Union Mobile Web –FAQs

ucumobile Web Banking for smart phones provides you with a way of accessing common online banking features on your smart phone's mobile browser, allowing you to:

  • check account balances
  • view transaction activity'
  • pay registered bills
  • transfer funds (includes inter-member)
  • manage scheduled bill and transfers
  • find branches or ATMs
  • contact us

For mobile banking for smart phones:

Most smart phones that have a desktop-grade Internet browser as well as a data plan or Wi-Fi connection will work with mobile banking. The following mobile devices have been tested and are known to work well with ucumobile Web Banking for smart phones:

  • Apple iPhone® 3G, 3GS
  • Apple iPod Touch 2nd Generation
  • BlackBerry® Curve 8900
  • BlackBerry® Pearl Flip 8220 Smartphone
  • BlackBerry® Pearl 8120

The following ucumobile web browsers have been tested and are known to work with mobile banking for smart phones:

  • Mobile Safari for iPhone®/iPod Touch
  • BlackBerry® Browser (RIM OS v3.8 +)
  • Android Browser
  • Internet Explorer Mobile (Windows Mobile )
  • Opera Mini 4.2
  • Opera Mobile 9.7 beta (Windows Mobile)

For mobile banking for smart phones:

Mobile banking for smart phones will work in any country where your mobile carrier's data plan will work. However, while mobile banking is a free service from Ukrainian Credit Union, your mobile carrier will likely charge for accessing data while roaming. We suggest that you check with your carrier before using mobile banking for smart phones outside of Canada.

For mobile web for smart phones:

Just like Ukrainian Credit Union HomeBanking, we'll ask you to log in with your login ID and your personal access code. As well, your mobile banking information is transmitted via 128-bit encryption technology as it moves from your mobile device to our systems. For mobile web banking, we use the same security precautions as Ukrainian Credit Union HomeBanking; no personal or banking information is saved on your phone.

For mobile web banking for smart phones:

If your mobile device is stolen, it can't be used to access ucumobileWeb Banking without your login IDand your personal access code. You should contact your mobile carrier to have your mobile device deactivated.

Not at this time. Our current mobile banking for smart phones was designed to be used by the largest possible groupof smart phones (like iPhone®, BlackBerry®, and others) via a smart phone's Internet browser.

Yes, you need to have access toUkrainian Credit Union Home Banking and must have logged into it at least once prior to using ucumobile web banking for smart phones in order to register for online banking andaccept the online home banking agreement.

If you have a BlackBerry® with BlackBerry® Device Software version 4.5 or earlier, your support for “style sheets” may be turned off. Turning this feature on will likely improve the look of the site. To get direction on how to turn style sheet support on, please contact your mobile carrier.

It's free. We don't charge you for ucumobile Banking, but your mobile carrier might charge you for accessing your data plan or sending and receiving text messages. Please contact your mobile carrier if you are unsure about any charges that might apply to you.

Although ucumobile Banking is a free service from Ukrainian Credit Union, your carrier may charge you even if you have an unlimited text plan because this is a new text service. Contact your carrierfor more information. If you are signed up for alerts, you may want to have them delivered via email instead of text to avoid these charges.
