Branch Manager (Mississauga)

Location: Mississauga, Ontario  

Ukrainian Credit Union Limited has a career opportunity to join our Management Team as a Branch Manager based out of our Mississauga location. 

The Branch Manager reports directly to the Director of Operations, and is accountable and responsible for managing overall branch operations which include all physical (facilities, equipment), financial and human resources while ensuring compliance with all corporate security procedures. Initiates action to grow and develop branch loan and deposit portfolios through business development. Pursues and generates new member and business opportunities through contact with local businesses and active participation with local community organizations. Provides final and binding approvals on all loans, mortgages and investments, within discretionary limits.  

Manages directly and indirectly all branch staff; provides managerial leadership to develop and sustain an effective branch team by coaching and mentoring staff to ensure business objectives are achieved, implementing training and development programs, identifying and acting on staff growth opportunities, demonstrating product knowledge and professionalism. Establishes performance standards; evaluates performance of branch staff; identifies gaps in development or capability; initiates discipline, when necessary; conducts staff meetings and monitors all branch activities to ensure awareness of operational problems and successes. Ensures staff is knowledgeable of and kept up to date on, all credit union policies and procedures.

Working with next level management, sets short and long term branch goals and objectives; ensures all branch staff are aware of the credit union and branch goals and objectives along with their expected contribution. Role model digital leadership and transformation; act as a change champion and lead your team in supporting strategic priorities. Develops and presents to executive management the annual capital and operating budget for the branch; monitors and controls expenses through the application of internal checks and balances; reviews and analyzes financial statements and credit files on a regular basis.
