GICs - Guaranteed Investment Certificates

All interest rates are expressed as annual rates applicable to each deposit term. All rates are promotional, available for a limited time, and subject to availability at the time of deposit. Rates applicable to “new money” deposits are limited to money deposited by the member from another financial institution to make a qualifying deposit. Unless otherwise specified on the Certificate of Deposit issued at the time the deposit is made, term deposit and GIC products are not redeemable before maturity. All GICs and term deposits are subject to membership conditions and the terms of the Certificate of Deposit, including, the method of interest calculation, interest payment, and if applicable, the ability to redeem before maturity and the applicable interest payable as of the date of redemption or maturity.

US Dollar GICs are principal, and interest guaranteed by Ukrainian Credit Union Limited, subject to membership conditions and the terms of the Certificate of Deposit. Member deposits with the credit union in US Dollars do not qualify as insurable deposits protected by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) through the Deposit Insurance Reserve Fund.
