UCU Board of Directors

Mr. Bob Diakow is a retired senior manager with a broad background in manufacturing, wholesale distribution and municipal government in the Information Technology (IT) sector. He is an accomplished award-winning leader who achieves business goals through the use of innovation, process redesign and technology resulting in increased levels of efficiency and effectiveness for the corporation. He has extensive expertise in strategic planning, project management, governance and financial management.

For 25 years Mr. Diakow served on the board of the Ukrainian (St. Catharines) Credit Union before its merger with Ukrainian Credit Union Limited, including ten years as President of the Board. Since the merger with UCU, Mr. Diakow has served on the Branch Advisory Committee.

Mr. Diakow has been active in the Ukrainian community all his life and is currently on the executive of the St. Catharines branch of the Ukrainian National Federation, the Niagara Branch of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress and is the National Vice-President of the UNF Board of Directors. He and his family are parishioners at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church.

Mr. Diakow holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from Brock University and a Masters degree in computer science from the University of Waterloo.
